Towpath diversion

Just thought I’d mention it to save anyone the hassle if their out there on the MTB.

British Waterways currently have civil engineering works at the Walsham Plantation, Weir shown on this map. (Found out this afternoon and they’re still using inkjet A4 printed signs that wash away after heavy rain!)

The old bridge still hasn’t been rebuilt on Wharf Lane (no surprise there after four years, yawn!)

The ‘Towpath Diversion’ ironically follows all the way down the original Wharf Lane route to where the bridge used to be and than a hole in the hedge right leads you onto the golf course perimeter to use their posh bridge to the Wey.

So right turn over the white arch bridge left turn back to the path and then twenty feet later up and onto the Wey towpath.
