The dynamic duo of Messrs Kent and White set off from Nonsuch Park today, muscles glistening in the summer sunshine. A mackerel sky today with the sun popping through occasionally for the first hour before a westerly breeze started to break it up nicely.
The route: followed the Hogsmill River to Kingston, over the bridge and into Bushey Park. Then it was through the trails and ‘burbs of Hampton Wick, Kempton and back over the Thames to the Walton side for elevenses.

Serious technical conversation ensued regarding gear ratios in inches and the bewildering compatibility issues of chains, freehubs and bottom brackets. At midday, none the wiser, we left our little sun trap for the journey home.
We briefly joined the south bank of the Thames heading east towards London before turning and heading towards Thames Ditton. From there it was Esher, Arbrook Common, Claygate, Chessington South and into Horton Country Park. We split in the park, with Mr Kent Esq heading for Cheam and my humble self going back to the car park for the drive home.
Good ride, good company, nice weather, what more could you want?
Miles: 32ish.
