It was a bit drizzly at Nonsuch, and only two riders were available today, Ed Pegg with myself leading. The route: Horton, Epsom Common, Ashtead, Staine Street and descending into Leatherhead to the south.
At that point came the realisation of the date, 28th October which is ‘Bockett’s Farm Halloween, kiddie mayhem of hell weekend!’, and so we diverted to Clarke’s Cafe in Leatherhead instead.
The sun came out as we left the cafe, and the ride back was uneventful via the usual back streets of northern Leatherhead and back across the west side of Ashtead Common.
