A bright sunny day, but cold. Four riders out today, most found me hiding in the Nonsuch Cafe supping tea as they arrived. Bill Kent, Adam Domaingue, myself and Bill Martin leading. A nice route with some entertaining twists and turns as we climbed towards Walton on the Hill. The route out took in the Nork area, Burgh Heath, Kingswood and Tadworth Common.
Lovely food at The Village Cafe, and a nice cosy local venue. Our return trip had us descending towards Langley Vale, heading for Ashtead Park before crossing the railway onto Ashtead Common. Bill elongated the journey back further by crossing into Horton Country Park and dropping down to the Hogsmill River for the final push.
Well it seemed rude not to make the most of the sunshine!
21.6 miles and 1100ft of climbing for me. A good run, and fun was had by all.
