MTB: Wandle Trail 5/11/17

Six riders at Cheam Station at 0900hrs today.
Paul W, Brian H, Bill M, Dave E, Trevor H (Our ride leader) and Andrew A.
We were wished a ‘Bon Voyage’ by a visit on foot from MJA at the station meeting point.

We wish him a speedy return to the bike after the hand discombobulation recently.

Our route took us the usual way out through Sutton and down to Carshalton picking up Mick C at the ponds.

Onto the Wandle Trail along the river through Morden, Collier’s Wood, Southfields, Wandsworth and then onto the Thames to Putney.
Bill M punctured near Plough Lane, the once home of Wimbledon FC and I believe from the hype that there will be a return to a new stadium sometime in the future.

Elevenses at ‘The Rocket’ (Wetherspoons) on the south east side of Putney Bridge.

After elevenses the group split with Brian H taking the road route home and Andrew A taking a logical route west along the Thames back home to Molesey.

The rest of the group retraced their route back through to Cheam.

27 miles @ 3H 10m
