Three riders myself, Paul Martin and Trevor Hughes left the ‘Rodney/ Plonka Hotel’ at just before 1000hrs and used the usual route.
Our lovely support car driver Dennis Peacock faithfully met us at the lunch stop.
Bristol to Bath Railway Path and then onto the Kennet and Avon Canal east of Bath.
The weather was humid around 22c and overcast with the occasional spot of rain which didn’t even make you wet.
Lunch was at Bradford Upon Avon at ‘The Barge Inn.’
We arrived in Devizes at 1600hrs. We could’ve been half hour earlier but stopped for a ice cream at the top of the Caine Hill Lock Flight.
