With a (slightly) earlier start time of 7pm we had the first daylight start of the year. Took an off-road route up to Banstead Railway station where we met up with Richard May… and Micky left to tend to his Guinea Pigs?? (Unfortunately) Richard managed to snap his chain as we headed further uphill to Nork, (Fortunately) we had the Clarencourt’s professional mechanic in the group and we were soon on the move again – Thanks to Freddy. The route was a bit longer than normal and included a particularly muddy climb through Ashtead Common so Coca Cola in Ewell was deserved. The riders were: Freddy, Richard, Big Dave, Bill, Andy Pearce, Andy Huddart and Micky C.
