With the Clarencourt about to go off on our pilgrimage to Koksijde and the Ghent 6 it’s great to see exciting events taking place here in the UK. Here is the text from Morvélo Bicycle Apparel on the VIMEO site…
“Morvélo CityCross 2 took place in the unique setting of a Grade 1 listed building in central Halifax. Combining cobbles, sand, mud, berms, steps, ramps, beer hand ups, smoke, stage, music, bridge, spiral of doom and illuminated corridors this race threw together cyclocross and mountain bikes in the ultimate urban battle.
The concept behind CityCross is to create short, fast and close racing for all abilities in an city environment. Pitching together the best bits of traditional cyclocross and added elements that suit mountain bikes, CityCross it a test of skill and speed, all in front of a baying crowd and DJs.
The hunt is now on for a city and venue for CityCross 3!”
