This is my first Clarencourt jersey which Mick gave me in 1976. One rear pocket had been removed to patch up a hole on the shoulder, though I managed to add a few more holes and tears over the next year or so.
I don’t know for how long Mick was using it before he gave it to me, but seeing as the shoulder had been patched with one of the rear pockets I suspect that it may have been the jersey he was wearing when he crashed in the gallop in a team time trial in East Anglia in 1975.
