6 soggy riders met on a wet Sunday morning. Bill & Bill, Tracy & Trevor, Lucinda and myself Adam. The destination was the Moat Café just outside of Horton Park. Bill Martin was our leader, doing a small loop of the park, then following the river Mole towards Horton. We arrived early but as the weather wasn’t the best we dismounted and went for elevenses. Tea/Coffee and cake was the order of the day, although Bill Kent decided to have a pre starter with beans on toast. We left about 11.30 and made our way home to shower and shave for meeting @2 in the California in Belmont. This would be the first time in the 20 something years ive been in the Clerencourt that ive attended the lunch and what a great afternoon we had. There 20 plus that attended and the food was great. Just for fun there where some Clerencourt awards, I could have worked out who would will the “shot away” award after knowing Denis most of my life!! All in all a brilliant day.
